avogadro-data software package provides Molecular Graphics and Modelling System (Data Files), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install avogadro-data
avogadro-data is installed in your system.
Make ensure the avogadro-data package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep avogadro-data *
You will get with avogadro-data package name, version, architecture and description in a table
